Unveiled at the 2024 Paris Motor Show, and showcased at the 2025 Busworld Expo in Brussels, the all new Skyworth Hongtu (named ‘233’ for UK market), utilises Skywell’s heavy-duty and commercial vehicle manufacturing heritage, with Skyworth’s digital technology experience.
All-new 233 will be Skyworth’s first globally developed commercial vehicle with its sights firmly set on the European market.
233 is expected to make its UK debut later in 2026, where the final production model name, UK specifications and CVOTR pricing will be announced. Contact us for more information.
All new 233 will initially be available in a body length of 5,990mm and a roof height of 2,700mm; corresponding to a load volume range of approximately 14 cubic metres.
It will feature a gross vehicle mass (GVM) of 4.25t; with a maximum payload of up to 1,395kg.
233 features a new 101kWh LFP (Lithium-Iron-Phosphate) battery manufactured inhouse by Skysource – Skyworth Group’s battery manufacturing subsidiary – utilising modules supplied by CATL – a global leader in heavy-duty EV battery supplies. Rear wheel drive power will be supplied via a 150kW/370Nm Permanent Magnet Synchronous electric motor producing 201Ps.
Charging will be available with up to 22kW AC charging; and up to 120kW DC rapid charging, offering a 20-80% rapid charge, in less than 50 minutes.
Subject to final WVTA approvals, 233 is expected to achieve around 350-400km from a charge – 50% laden when tested on the WLTP test cycle.
The spacious and ergonomic cockpit provides a comfortable and productive workspace, which – like the exterior – is showcased by a contemporary design and furnished with a generous level of equipment including a 6-way adjustable driver’s seat, 15.6” touchscreen display, wireless phone charging, wireless smartphone connectivity and keyless entry and start (final UK specifications to be confirmed)
Safety is an area where 233 also excels; an extensive ADAS package – which includes Intelligent Cruise Assist (ICA), Autonomous Emergency Braking System (AEBS), Lane Keep Assist (LKA) and Intelligent Speed Assist (ISA) – is available to reduce the risk of collisions and increase driver safety.
